About Ebooks
eBook Formats
If an ebook is made to be visible online so the readers can read it through a site a good option would be HTML format with the links made at the bottom of the pages made in the purpose of an easy navigation. These types of ebooks can even contain links, sounds or video files. There is also a more fancy looking option when it comes to ebooks or online magazines or newspapers. This option is called “page flip” and it will give you an amazing visual effect where you can flip pages just as it was a real book. This effect could be achieved if the publisher uses more advanced software to publish his work.
Ebooks done in any kind of format don’t need to be just pure text. There is always some room for a nice design of a page cover, header and footer and input of photos, diagrams, graphics, etc. However, this depends on a publisher and the overall purpose of ebook.
Devices For Reading eBooks
When it comes to devices (apart from your computer) which can display ebooks there are a few options available. The most popular device that can display ebooks is called an ebook reader. This device could only be designed for this purpose or could also be used in other purposes. When it comes to advantages, this device has plenty. Its main advantages are portability, battery longevity and readability of its screen.
What Is The Difference Between PDA And An eBook Reader?
Any PDA (Personal Data Assistant) device can display text of an ebook on its screen so it is basically capable of acting as an ebook reader. However, the major difference between a PDA and ebook reader is that the ebook reader displays e-inks.
Reading an ebook on your desktop computer, on a laptop while being comfortably relaxed on your bed or on an ebook reader from any place where you might find yourself, is nice and the choice is purely up to you. Ebook readers come as a more advanced solution since they are smaller in size, their battery lasts longer while at the same time they don’t lack the storage space.

Death Of MSN - Good Or Bad?

Things such as:
- Private group messaging
- Improved webcam and voice chat
- File sharing
MSN had 100 million users whereas Skype had 280million just before November 2012, so with Skype proving themselves more popular than MSN it is a very good business move to colaborate with Skype.
If you used Skype before Microsoft bought them, then you should notice small changes have been made to Skype such as:
- Windows Live accounts (MSN login) are now compatible with Skype.
- Ads will start to appear in your calls.
- New tools for internal corporate communications.
- Different look. With Windows 8 being released with it's clean orderly looking box-grid-square-rectangle layout they have applied this theme to Skype. The layout is stays exactly the same but with a Windows 8 hint. For example, rather than curving the edges of a rectangle button and maybe shade it to give it more depth and easier on the eye, it becomes a basic simplistic rectagle with sharp vertecies and one colour all over, some people like it and some poeple don't.
However the iPhone and android application has not changed what so ever. It freezes all the time and you can't join a conference call because the button doens't exist in the app but it does on the PC version.

Catalogue To Online
Catalogues which are still being printed in UK:

How many are now being replaced by online versions?:
With the majority of the western hemisphere gaining access to the internet, wether it be in there home, public library, or an internet cafe, it is not a surprise that most of the shopping people do is done online. Therefore, it is definatly a good move to take catalogues online. The only inconvenience is that you have to usually pay about £3 packaging.
Because of the increase of internet access from home, companies do not want to waste time and money on mass producing catalogues of which will never be picked up or used by the majority.

Tool Man - Increasing Productivity
How to use the following ICT to change and hopefully improve your working style.
PDA (personal digital assistant): Does nearly all the same functions that your computer does. Usually runs MS Office, can send messages, take pictures, email, diary, calender, note taking, planner, calculator.
GPS (global positioning systems): Tells you exactly where you are and can read out directions for you so you can keep your eyes on the road so you don't compromise your safety. It usually gives you estimated time of arrival aswell so timekeeping is easier.
Laptop and software: Laptop folds up and is very portable, and loaded with the right software such as MS Office, MS Visio, and other software to replace the paper based system.
Mobile Phone: Some phones do all the things PDAs do and more so save money and buy a smart phone.

The disadvantages to employing alot of ICT is that the money he spends on ICT has to be productive enough to make his money back and maybe make profit.

Communication sms
Texting Downsides:
It seems that this has not improved our social lives at all. With 150billion texts sent in Britain each year (according to recent reports), there must be people in this day and age that never even see half of their contacts they've stored in their phone. I don't know about you but if I hardly ever met up with my friends or family face to face it would drive me crazy.
Social Downsides to firing off a quick email rather than having a short conversation:
Problems or disadvantages:
It isn't more productive than anything else I use. And it is less productive because, compared to other ways of messaging it is inferior.
Does email fulfil its intended purposes?
It does exactly what it sets out to do. Doesn't mean it's the best option though.
Additional Information: Mobile Phones Today.
People all over the world are demanding faster, thinner and lighter devices, which makes sense because the more powerful the phone the quicker you can load, send and recieve data, the thinner the phone the easier it becomes to carry around in your pocket (a thin phone also means you can have a bigger screen because it still won't take up much pocket space) and a light weight makes it easier to hold for long periods of time. These have become the main selling points for phones as technology has advanced. With the introduction of the iphone, sales on smart phones have sky rocketed and now nearly everyone you come accross in the street will be using mostly iOS or Android phones.

- You don't see the recipient face to face.
- Reply is not garanteed.
- To talk to relatives.
- Confirm setting up an account.
- Billing.
- Getting hold of special offers for various shops.
- When I'm home.
- Compared to social networking sites there are not major benefits, I only use it because sometimes it's the only way for being contacted by particular people.
Problems or disadvantages:
- Spam
- Advertising
